from the trenches of the zune-ocalypse
Dec. 31st, 2008 03:38 pmso still no real answers. though the DIY fix seems a little sketchy, and i'm not willing to pry open something i don't really know how to fix. something that in theory is an expensive thing. even though you could argue it might just be a paperweight soon anyway.
so the only part that worries me now is that it will burn out. i can hear the driver (?) inside whirring. and the screen wont shut off, so i worry that the zune load image will burn into it. feh.
andy has offered me his, which is an upgrade at 80G, since he was thinking about getting one with more on it (the 120G i think). though i hesitate to accept it. i really like the zune and how it works. and really, is the iPod really such a big deal? i know its accessibility has a lot going for it, but i am not really an apple user anyways. so i dunno what i think.
still, waiting to hear what those fucktards over at microsoft are gonna say.
they can offer a solution, but in all honesty, when i plugged it into my puter this morning, it wouldnt even register the connection so i'm not sure how i could even download a fix anyway. it certainly is an interesting dilemma.
meh.
