i swear spending this much time on the internet directly after work isnt very bright of me. oh well...i wasnt staring into the computer too much today...there was actually Stuff To Do today. there was a lot of calls for resume/database updates, some typing, leftover steak for lunch, and more calls.

otherwise, i am out of diet rockstar. feh. and nearly out of peanut butter. double feh.

tomorrow night a free movie preview of the 40 year old virgin. hope its funny.

i am toying with the idea of maybe trying to go to dc for the [livejournal.com profile] ego_likeness show at the end of october. ive heard so much about nation and that its getting torn down...i wouldnt mind checking it out if thats the case...and with all the cool kids i met over the past weekend finding a place to crash will be easy im sure. course, this all kind of depends on cash flow as always and if i get the brakes done on my car anytime soon. not sure ill be up for a road trip by then but im keeping it in mind.

is it wrong that i almost picked my PC doctor based on his name?...i kid you not, there is a dr. harry potter in framingham.

silverstein is playing this weekend as well as the prodigals and i cant go to either show. triple feh.

not sure what i am doing this weekend actually.

in other news, still feeling the echoes of my break up. drifted awake this morning feeling like i was next to him and then consciousness hit me like a brick. empty bed. i feel kinda retarded about it. like i shouldnt be thinking these things. but my work load slowed down and the time to think came back. i guess i always get haunted by the loves that got away. yeah, i still miss jim. yeah, add another feh.

so many fehs, and yet i really dont feel all depressed. it is what it is. besides, i have ice cream upstairs!

Well unless you must stay with rock stars, let me be the first to offer you a place to stay for the weekend (or however long you need). I'll make sure to move my ironing out of the spare bedroom in case you intend to use it. ;)

Let me know in advance what to have in the fridge since I don't drink alcohol or carbonated stuff and mostly stick to basic food so things can be sparse except for the occasional Klondike bar if I don't grocery shop in advance.

As for cash, we know you're good for it... just come on down, take a break, don't try to work the show, and we'll get you where you need to be. In the worse case if you need to train or fly then I've got two vehicles so maybe I can trust you with one of them. ;) Dont' get your hopes up on having the convertible sports car for the day though - she's my precious after all.

How can you be seeing the Prodigals in New England? I'm going to Chicago this weekend to see them Friday... Can they be in two places at once???

so many fehs, and yet i really dont feel all depressed. it is what it is.

Well, I for one have some post festival blues. Nothing horrible or life shattering. Just an acknowledgement of how much I enjoyed some of the people I ran into, and how much nicer it'd be to see some of them much more frequently. Plus the good music and dancing.

You know... I forgot to point out. I saw your use of kwisatz hader-rabbit - quite original and funny the bunny that can go to the place the Benegeserit cannot - implied you may already know that the name Ego Likeness is also inspired from Frank Herbert's stuff.

And suddenly I was quite happy with my new found companions because they all know a work of fiction that I found quite formative.

i am a dune fanatic...i love that series...i tend to quote it a lot..someday i would love to have a whole set of hardcover books of the originals and the prequils...

I have most of them - in hardcover though it's a bit more difficult to get the orginial series in that format. You're more than welcome to curl up on the couch and read your way through. Add a few days to your visit. :)

I also have the audio CDs for Dune, I'm not sure I was able to find the other books in that format. And I just got the Brazilian DVD release of the David Lynch film version - which includes the full footage and narrator vs the domestic US release is a good bit shorter (I've had that for a while). I grabbed the treatments the SciFi MiniSeries did for the books - but I'm still torn as they are compelling but still too fresh.

So whch character(s) do you relate to the most?

i love them all. i would so want to be a bene gesserit though. my copy of lynch's dune got stolen somewhere along my road days (along with my donnie darko, but thats another story)...i liked that the sci-fi channel lengthened the movie time for dune, but got disappointed with a lot of it...children of dune was way better for them.

quit trying to keep me down there! (:3 dont you know i cannot be kept...i could give you the references...(one of the reasons i freak out about doing the "professional" thing is that i hate being in one place too long. *sigh* but im trying to better...though thats neither here nor there..

Hahaha... darn it, you're on to me.

one of the reasons i freak out about doing the "professional" thing is that i hate being in one place too long.

Let's get you the short summary... 1972 Connecticut, 1973 South Carolina, 1974 North Carolina, 1976-1977 Indiana, 1978-1987 New York, 1987-1988 Florida, 1988-1989 New York, 1989 Pennsylvania, 1989-1990 New Jersey, 1990-1991 Ohio, 1991 Texas, 1991-1993 Ohio, 1993 Mexico, 1993-1994 Ohio, 1994-1995 Texas, 1995-1997 Missouri, 1997-2003 North Carolina (four of the years traveling 45 weeks a year to other states and countries), 2003-2005 Virginia. (I've left out vacations and work related travel and any place where I didn't have an official address.) And now I'm looking at moving to London or Chicago because the people of Virginia kind of suck.

You can do the professional thing and move where the work is. You just have to get to the top of your game and move when moving is called for.

I swear to God, my mom's gynecologist was Doctor Harry Beaver.
If he's still practicing, he'll be in the Maryland phone book.

Drop me an email whenever you head into DC and i'll introduce you to everyone, or at least come hang out.

You can come down to Providence and play/observe Roundabout. We'll be romping around a beautiful park, then eating a French feast, then going to the ever-fabulous Waterfire. Come check it out!

I swear to every God in the Universe, we can get your mind off some stupid boy. ;)
