Apr. 10th, 2007 09:54 ami found a pretty cool website for those out there in diet/exercise land. its called the daily plate.
it tracks your calorie goals for the day, water consumption, adds up your daily totals, tracks your food choices...offers up better choices, calculates calories and activity. i started using it yesterday, and so far it's pretty neat.
i'm bad at the calculations part of healthy eating, so i'm hoping this might help.
i'm also trying to give up chocolate for a while. the only time i'll allow it is when it's in ice cream. and i've already proven i dont need ice cream as often as i thought i did. so hopefully the consumption will stay down across the board.
if anyone does go try it, i'd be interested to hear what you think.

I just don't have time for anything but shitty food, and we're in the middle of a family health crisis (LJ to come) that has me again rethinking the amount of effort I need to put in, as in more.
Oddly, I'm trying to eat MORE chocolate. I think I'm going to start keeping stashes of good dark chocolate around. And make sure I have that Stoneyfield farm chocolate yogurt in the fridge. It's to kill the Ben & Jerry's cravings, because having a pint of THAT is way worse than having three or so small pieces of chocolate, or a serving of yogurt. The good thing with the super rich dark is that you can only HAVE a few pieces, and it's so overwhelming you don't want any more. (at least I don't your servings may vary *grins*)
I dunno I'm just totally against denying oneself EVERYTHING, it's more moderation and portion control. Which is so my downfall, I loves me a nice full plate (full of steak *LOL*)
My week sucks. I miss you, and will be in touch as soon as things calm down. I have a Ranger incoming as well, which is totally going to eff up my game. More later. *hugz*
