wednesday is for the humps
Feb. 21st, 2007 01:16 pmi am slowly but surely formulating a game plan in my head regarding work. sometimes i need to see things phrased a certain way in order to know what i want. sometimes i need someone else's word to make me understand.
i am in no real rush just yet, but i will be trying to actively schedule some time at home to look a bit more dilligently for what's out there. ultimately, the goal is to find some sort of gig where i get some travel, some human connection, some gratification from specific tasks accomplished, and some autonomy. should be easy, right?
also, i need to see about connecting with my dad and find out if he is still having thoughts of moving out west. if so, i need to sit down and consider what it means to relocate again, should i choose to do so. while being closer to las vegas means a better chance at a stage related entertainment job, there isnt really an opportunity for travel necessarily. oh, there are lots more pros and cons to figure out here. just need to push this idea into my consciousness again.
for those who have offered résumé help, i'm thinking of cashing in on some time. while time tends to be limited for me (and probably for you), i will try to get some stuff going.
and again, money will unfortunately be an issue for me. i can deal with all my bills at my current level. should i leave here, i have no idea what to expect for cash. and that is the biggest reality i need to face. i will make certain sacrifices, but i need to be able to make car payments.
okay. that about sums up my current headspace. everything else is secondary.
next, i really really need to get my ass in gear to deal with BSF2K7 stuff. hey,
poetman, what are you up to on sunday? maybe we can meet up for a bit.

Date: 2007-02-21 08:42 pm (UTC)The insurance rates in Vegas are wicked low, Lyra also moved due to the lower cost of living and better pay.
Seriously, its what will at the end of the day keep me from ever living here permiently.
