what a weekend.

friday night was APOCALYPTO....um..yeah...mel gibson? you've lost it.
the movie was okay. it was slow moving, but thankfully not dragging. but i felt there was just no point to it. something was....missing. *shrug* dunno.

satyrday we got up early and went to the museum of science. this was for j's birthday. he wanted to see the bodyworlds exhibit. it was pretty neat, but kinda creepy. i did alright until the pregnancy room. that was really creepy....

we caught the lightning show, an old favorite. and explored some of the other halls. but we ran out of time and headed home...

cause next up was the lacuna coil/in flames show in worcester. we all met up at the irish bar for a few drinks before heading into the club. the first two bands were fairly forgettable (the sword and seemless)...lacuna coil stole the show. they were tight, and the singer chick owned that room. i was bit disappointed in in flames. i had heard some of their music and thought it was pretty good. the show live? not as good as i would have hoped. we left a bit early.

the cool part was running into my stage monkey koske from black sun, he was there with kilean...it was awesome to see them.

sunday was a slow day and i managed to do some xmas shopping. popped in to say hi to [livejournal.com profile] aslanlionchic, and finally drop off her mom's coat. i dont get to spend nearly enough time hanging with her anymore.
then to the south shore mall, which wasnt as good as i remembered. found a few things though.
then got to pop in at [livejournal.com profile] tiamatlady's too. again, nice to chat a bit and catch up.

i've been really bad about staying in touch this season...lots of people deserve calls and emails, but i'm being a bad bunny and keeping mostly to myself. soon, my madlings, soon....

at least my boss is out in new york on "meetings" until thursday...woo-hoo!

I saw the Bodyworlds exhibit while on a very bad date. I'm not sure which one got me nauseous - the idea of this being REAL people, or the jerk I was with (who insulted my beloved Bostonians!!)....but I left halfway through and was quite relieved to be out of there. Kind of cool, though, for the first half hour or so.....
