take my hair, please...
Aug. 16th, 2006 05:11 pmyesterday's and today's attempts to get a hair wax appointment fizzling hardcore.
feh. i wish i had a beautician friend who could rip my hair out whilst sipping cocktails and watching bad chick movies in the evening. course, drunken wax time could be a real bad idea.
possibly TMI, but i hate shaving. it's not easy when you're 6'1", chubby to boot (length+circumference=lots of time in the shower). add to this lovely mix that all i have is a stand up shower stall in the apartment. so yeah, getting my legs waxed is easily a bargain compared to the time and frustration of shaving. feh.
one of our artists is up to something cool:
on Thursday, August 17 at 9:00pm EST, the twice Grammy-nominated Zoë/Rounder Recording artist, Tracy Bonham will perform on “America’s Got Talent.” Bonham and Blue Man Group will be special guests on the live results season finale, performing The Who’s classic Baba O’Reily.
i am curious about this...
tonight the gym...tomorrow, follow up appointment with nutritionist (way too early in the morning...damn my work schedule!). total count due to my slow changing eating habits: 14 pounds. nothing dramatic, but consistantly down 2-3 pounds per week. yay!
i'll say that today i am jonesing hardcore for peanut butter cups!
must resist!!!!

Date: 2006-08-17 01:20 pm (UTC)Congrats on the loss! I've lost about 20lb since May. It's a super good feeling. The thing I hate the most -- and I'm sure you can commiserate on this one -- is that there's not so much of the obvious visual difference on someone of our stature. If someone who was 5'1" lost 14-20lb, it'd be like four dress sizes. On someone 6'0"-6'1", it's maybe one. Blarg. I just want to be a 12 again. :(

Date: 2006-08-17 01:43 pm (UTC)i came close to being a 12 once. hopefully i can get there and maintain it. the biggest pain in the butt for me is finding clothes that accomodate height and weight. and hey, clothes are cheaper when they are smaller.
*sigh* when are real tits and ass going to be in fashion again?...seeing bones is icky....

Date: 2006-08-17 05:00 pm (UTC)I think we already had this conversation, but I think I was drunk. Where do you buy pants? Mine are never long enough, and I assume you have the same problem.
