catching up to myself
Aug. 10th, 2006 01:11 pmso after a hectic weekend, monday after work boy comes home and presents me with a beautiful red rose. he said he could see i felt out of sorts. maybe he really does get me. it certainly made me feel better.
tuesday was a mental health/sick day. i just needed a day to deal with the car, and with the mess of the house and with some relaxation in the form of a movie.
my co-workers dad works with GM and she had me email to him what i've been going through with this car of mine. finally some service! the area manager called and said they would take care of my issues, not charge me another deductable, pay for a rental, and lo and behold, they even paid for the oil change i requested. so my monte carlo is ready and i'm getting it back tonight. hopefully i wont have to see anyone from that dealership for a looooong time.
the laundry is mostly done. i hadnt gotten to wash my black sun clothes until now, so that's a relief. they were probably set to get moldy if i didnt throw them in when i did. i bought a new shelf rack for my clothes, yay! less mess in my "corner. and i managed to clean up all the other junk in the house....well, jay's stuff is still around. feh....bachelors...
i did take myself to see "lady in the water"...i dug it. i wouldnt really call it deep and meaningful, but i kind of liked its simple honesty. it was a good story. it was neat to watch. also caught "crash" on tv, great movie. i like those kinds that tie in all these different plot lines. last night saw "the island", which i thought was awesome. great music in that one.
so i feel caught up mentally for the most part, now it's simply juggling stuff here at work. king dicks starts soon, and i'm not sure how things will go this year. my office is moving to burlington in october also, so there's another change.
and hey, it's almost been a year with the boy. thats a feat for me. though i sometimes still want to run, car payments certainly work well to dissuade me.
generally though, i think i'm doing alright.
