thundering on through dampened sky

dredpiratebunnyafter taunting me for a while, the thunderstorm finally raged on through. actually lost power for a bit. times like these i am glad i have a battery operated alarm clock.
also had a delicious grilled chicken dinner....course thinking of my dad out in the t-storm grilling chicken makes the dinner for me. man vs. nature at its finest!
*insert grumble on gas prices here* ...i almost filled my tank.
we didnt get to have the wrap-up meeting today...its been postponed...hopefully next week.

then this weekend is an "extended family reunion" of sorts...satyrday is what we call "kelly's annual"...basically my dad and his old fogie buddies and their kids and probably grandkids meets up to play a softball game....then at night there is a party. i was interested in going to both, but that was when i thought jim was going to be my secret weapon in the game. now im not sure id want to play. and i'm also torn about the party. on the one hand, if i go, there will be good food and good drink, and people that are like family that i hardly ever see. on the other hand, having the house to myself for a night is equally appealing. i guess i'll see how my week goes.
dad and stepmonster were still at it this morning. joy. i wish this house had a better vibe.
and hey, first payday is this friday...woo-hoo!
knowing most of it is already spent...meh!
