fireworks go boom
Jul. 5th, 2005 12:32 pmboy totally redeemed himself. i had the most amazing 4th of july in a very long time. most of my past boys were either not into it, or thought it dumb, or somehow i would be stuck driving during them.
this year, nearly perfect. a nice train into boston on the d (is for lysdexia) line...meeting up with his friends erin and todd (who reminded me so much of
seerinc it was eerie!)...finding our way to beer works by the garden (so nice to call it that again)...my wife
istilana meeting us there for an incredible meal...and really good beer...then meeting up with
boudiceatav and her friend for a pint (or two)...then a lovely stroll through the north end to find a spot to see the fireworks.
we found the coolest secretest i could tell you but id have to kill you most amazingest view possible. right on the river. no one in front of us. super huge sparkley sky booms (with really cool reflections off of the glass windowed sky scrapers). and if youve never had your fireworks narrated by a little girl i highly recommend it. you get descriptions like: "kitty whiskers"...hee hee...and the ever popular: "wheee!"
all in all one of the best days i have had in a very long time. and did i mention the peanut butter?...fresh ground honey roasted peanut butter. *sigh*
hope everyones week flies by since its one day shorter!!

Date: 2005-07-05 05:41 pm (UTC)So, we packed up and I saw the finale' through the reflections of building windows, but only partially. STill, he had fun. It was good.
Glad to hear you had an excellent time. Sound like the last summer when I went to Chicago and my cousin's had tickets to reserved seats for Fireworks. Free pizza and soda (no beer :( ) and MOST important - port-a-potties JUST for the reserved seat people! Sweeeet.
