i think i found zen.
first the primitive torture of a leg and bikini wax. why do women do this again?
then the complete indulgence and relaxation of a steam room and swiss shower and shiny delicious bath products.

otherwise doing some amazing things down here. trying to open my world up again. forming a plan. the biggest annoyance is the lack of my own computer. using internet at the library or cafe is never really good enough for the work i need to be doing. hence, the laptop search has begun. im even considering getting a mac. i have requirements for my crazy lifestyle which might up the cost, but no biggie, i can conquer anything.

honestly ive never felt so free or able to do anything in my life. i blame marrus. she bopped me on the head when i needed it. and ive been writing a lot more in my paper journal. things are moving and im loving it.

dont want to quite divulge at the moment but im starting to look into some possibilities.

and then my lovely visit from tym. mmmm....that was fun.

turkey day spent in a home with my friend tim the pirate and his family. i am lucky to have a good place to go down here. though the ren faire has a big ol feast as well. still, i choose the house. with indoor plumbing. heh.

i guess thats the most basic update...there are a billion more things i could share. that i have experienced. but keeping things close for now suits me better.

Yes, I highly recommend some sort of iBook or, damn, now I can't remember the pro-level laptops. But get one, and get it with an Airport card pre-installed. You won't regret it.

Think of the extra cost as anti-virus software. They don't bother *writing* viruses for Macs anymore.

I just got a Compaq laptop and I'm really happy with it. Check out Microcenter, if there's one near you.

Mac Laptops

The pro-level laptops from Macintosh are Powerbooks. If you don't mind a slightly smaller screen you can probably get a bitchin machine with a combo drive (burns CDs and reads DVDs) for the same price as an ok PC laptop. And personally I looked at the iBooks before I got my Powerbook, and I had to work on someone's iBook basically right out of the box and the keyboard had to be replaced. Good news is it's easy to do- bad news I can see it needing to be done on asemiregular basis.
