i can't stay here any longer. if i do there will be more than i can manage. everything in my being says to stay put. but alone, how long can i last?
ive packed up one of my larger bags (the benefits of traveling for a living) with food and medical supplies, such as they are, from the apartment. things that multitask especially...like the aerosol hairspray, stings the crap out of a wound, but will keep it from bleeding too much...and also makes a good short range blow torch. canned food...pop top lids only. also makes for a great cutting edge in a pinch.
not sure where the cat ran off to...but she's smart. i'm sure she'll be fine.
dad...well, i spotted him in a pack. pack being a loose term. more like the way vultures work. swarming where the food is. they were outside my window trying to get in. maybe the memory does survive to a point?
i had to shoot him...out of love. then i threw up again.
ive got keys to dad's truck, water in my bota, the cross bow on my belt, and a makeshift quiver. thank god for eeldrytch leather. you have no idea how functional your re-enactment stuff can be in the apocalypse.
yes, despite that i know its smart to hole up and go high, im leaving. i've got to find others and make a stand.
say a few hail mary's for me....for all the good they might do.
